Protect Beech Avenue – Say NO to the Proposed HMO/Supported Living Development at 28 Beech Avenue, B32 2UB

We, the undersigned residents, neighbours, and supporters of Beech Avenue and the surrounding community, call upon Birmingham City Council to reject any application that would convert 28 Beech Avenue, Quinton, Birmingham B32 2UB into a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) or supported living accommodation.
Beech Avenue is a quiet, family-oriented residential street that has been home to many long-term residents for decades. Any significant change to the use of this property should only proceed following full public consultation, compliance with planning and licensing requirements, and proper consideration of its impact on the local community. Unfortunately, residents have not been formally consulted or notified of this proposed change. This lack of transparency has caused widespread concern. We call upon Birmingham City Council to: reject any planning application or licensing application that would permit an HMO or similar high-intensity residential use at 28 Beech Avenue where it is not considered appropriate; carry out an urgent inspection of the property; investigate whether any unauthorised change of use has already taken place; confirm whether the property requires and holds the necessary HMO licence; ensure all building works comply with planning legislation, building regulations and fire safety requirements; and take appropriate enforcement action where breaches of planning or housing legislation are identified.
