NHS & Healthcare
Better access, stronger primary care, healthier Quinton
As a practising GP and RCGP Representative for Birmingham GPs, I bring first-hand clinical knowledge to the fight for better NHS access and primary care services for every Quinton resident.
Reducing GP Waiting Times
I am actively lobbying at a national level through the RCGP for structural reforms that reduce waiting times and give patients quicker, more direct access to their GP. I met with Professor Victoria Tzortziou Brown, RCGP Chair, at the GP Advocate Summit to push for meaningful improvements in primary care capacity.
The Healthy Quinton Project
I launched the Healthy Quinton Project to bring free community health and wellbeing support directly to Quinton neighbourhoods every 2–3 months. Services include health checks, lifestyle advice, smoking cessation, mental wellbeing support, NHS app help, and more — all free and open to all residents.
Mental Wellbeing & Community Support
Mental health is as important as physical health. I am committed to expanding access to mental wellbeing resources in Quinton and ensuring residents are not left to struggle alone with anxiety, depression, or social isolation.
Digital NHS Access
Many residents, especially older people, struggle to navigate digital NHS systems. The Healthy Quinton events include hands-on NHS App support so that every resident can access the services they are entitled to.
Advocating for NHS Workers
Our NHS is only as strong as the people who work in it. I will continue to champion better pay, conditions, and support for NHS staff in Birmingham, recognising the enormous pressures they face.
