Visiting & Listening to Local Businesses
I have personally visited local Quinton businesses including John's Fish Bar, Premier Quinton Supermarket, the local Post Office, and many others. Listening to their challenges directly — from footfall to parking, rates to regulations — is the first step in advocating for real change.
Supporting the High Street
Empty shopfronts and declining high streets damage community identity and local livelihoods. I am pushing for practical support for Quinton's high street businesses, including making it easier for new businesses to set up and for existing ones to thrive.
Reducing Bureaucratic Burden
Small businesses are often strangled by red tape and council processes that are slow, opaque, and costly. I will advocate for streamlined planning and licensing processes and challenge unnecessary burdens that hold local enterprise back.
International Trade & Investment
I spoke at the Consulate General of India in Birmingham, exploring how skills, enterprise, investment, and partnerships can bring more opportunities, jobs, and confidence to Quinton. A globally connected local economy creates opportunities for residents and businesses alike.

Every pound spent in a local Quinton shop recirculates in our community. I actively encourage residents to support our local businesses — the people behind the counters are our neighbours, and their success is our community's success.
