Community Safety
Safer streets, stronger neighbourhoods, zero tolerance for crime
Every resident of Quinton deserves to feel safe in their home, on their street, and in their community. I am committed to tackling anti-social behaviour, improving road safety, and ensuring families can live without fear.
Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour
I have received reports from residents across Quinton about anti-social behaviour, including fireworks being lit randomly at night and vandalism. I am escalating these concerns directly to the relevant council teams and pushing for faster, more visible responses.
Road Safety Across Quinton
Speed limits, dangerous junctions, and poorly maintained roads are a safety risk. I have visited hotspot locations across Quinton and escalated residents' concerns about 30mph limits, requests for reinstated 40mph zones on suitable dual carriageways, and dangerous road conditions to the council.
Parking & Access Issues
Parking pressure affecting residential streets, pavements, and verges has been raised with me by many residents. I am reviewing these hotspots and engaging with the council to find practical, fair solutions that respect all residents and road users.
Fly-Tipping & Clean Streets
Fly-tipping and dirty streets undermine community pride. I am following up every fly-tipping report raised with me and pushing for more regular enforcement and clean-up operations across Quinton.
Planning Transparency & Resident Rights
Where planning applications affect the safety, access, and amenity of residential areas, I will ensure residents have a proper voice in the process and that planning decisions reflect the genuine needs of the whole community.
